Zoom flair instructions

Choose a mode

If you plan to have your camera on, choose either a video or still background. If you plan to have your camera off (we get it, we’ll probably be folding some laundry while we caucus too,) choose a still profile picture to download. If you think you might pop on and off camera, you can choose both!


Download the video/image

Assuming you’re on a computer, choose the background or profile photo you like best and click the download button. It will probably automatically save to your “downloads” folder. Computer setups can vary, though.


For background image/video

  1. Click to join the Zoom meeting. Before you enter the meeting, you should see a preview window that shows you on camera. Push the “background” button.

  2. Click on the “Virtual Background” tab.

  3. Click on the + button and select either “image” or “video” depending on which background you chose.

  4. Make sure the background you uploaded is selected. There will be a colored outline around the one you have selected in the Zoom preview window.

  5. Enter the meeting and make sure your camera is on. You should see your background image or video behind you.

For Zoom profile picture

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.

  2. You may be on the profile page; if not, in the navigation menu, click Profile.

  3. In the section with your name and other personal details, click the pencil  icon in the picture frame. You might need to mouse over the photo to see it.

  4. Drag and drop the profile photo you downloaded or click Choose Files to upload your picture.

  5. Click Save.
